The Ride A Test Show/Clinic on May 8th was a fun and productive day! Thanks to everyone who came to ride! Thanks to Judi for the use of her facility, Craig for Judging and Lynn Tomovick for scribing! Remember to send in your entries for the Black Hills Dressage Show. We also need volunteers to help both days of the show. Hi Everyone,
Please plan to come to the South
Dakota Dressage Society meeting on Saturday, April 24, 2010. The
meeting will be at Judi Joba's Eagle's Ride Equine Center, 3463 Elk
Creek Road, Piedmont, SD 57769. We will start at 6:00 PM, have a
short business meeting and then Patty Larson is going to do an
educational program "How to fill out Dressage Show Entry Forms"
 .
Since entries for the Black Hills Dressage Show open on Monday, April
26, we thought this would be a good topic. We will have a snack and
dessert pot luck so please bring a treat to share. Hope to see
everyone there. Remember to check the SDDS Fan page on Facebook!
2010 Black Hills Dressage Prize List is now up!! Opening day is April 26. We need everyone to support this show. The Opportunity Classes make it possible for ANYONE to attend this show at a very reasonable cost. All you pay is the entry fee and office fee. And of course stabling if you plan to stay overnight. SDDS Meeting Minutes for March 20, 2010
Meeting was called to order by Treasurer Linda Rabe. Tineke VanEiken was our guest. Minutes were read and approved. Treasurers report was given and approved. The insurance renewal was paid.
Old Business The recognized horse show is proceeding on schedule. The opportunity classes will be held this year. Training 1 and 2 and First Level 1 and 2 will be part of them and the exhibitor will not have to pay all of the other fees. There was a question about whether we will continue the recognized show after this year
New Business Craig will be the judge/clinician for the May 8th clinic/show. There will be a Jump the Jump show at Buffalo Berry arena on April 11th beginning at 2:00 pm Next meeting is April 24th, 5:00 pm at Eagle’s Ride with a potluck afterwards. An educational program will be given. Changed to 6:00 PM with snacks or dessert pot luck.

This is a fun place to post information and ideas or just discuss
"hot topics".

We had a fun meeting at Judi's. Judi made a delicious
pot of turkey noodle soup and several members
brought treats, making for a very good meal. Thanks
everyone!
Our Central States Fair Hunter / Jumper Show on August 29th
was a HUGE SUCCESS. Thank You to all the wonderful
volunteers who made this show happen. And a big THANK
YOU to Central States Fair for their generosity in making it
possible for us to have the show. And of course THANK YOU
to everyone who entered and Linda Hake who donated her
time to Judge.
The 2009 Black Hills Dressage Show was a fun and exciting
show! We had a good turn-out and the show was a success.
