SDDS President: Judi Joba

Judi is a graduate of Michigan State University where she majored in Animal Science and Education. She is certified in Counselor Education through Central Michigan University and Level I certified practitioner with EAGALA Inc. Judi works as a full time riding instructor in her own business. Her love of horses goes back to pre-school days when she was given her first rocking horse and has never diminished. She has shown her Half-Arabian gelding to Top Ten in dressage at the Arabian Nationals and enjoys judging horse shows and giving clinics. Judi works as a team member with various health care professionals and she is presently a full time riding instructor in the Rapid City area. Judi is also a gifted massage therapist, Reiki Master and an Ordained Ministerial Counselor.

SDDS Vice-President - Craig Heckert

Craig has been involved Dressage and Eventing since 1993, after a successful Western career. Craig rode the Trakehner stallion Meisterwind to earn his USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals making him one of a small group of people who have earned all three medals on a horse they have trained.

Craig is part of the team at Rivervale Farm, near Nisland, SD. He raises and trains Warmblood horses as well as showing in Dressage, In-Hand and Hunter/Jumper Shows.

SDDS Treasurer - Dr. Linda Rabe, DVM

Linda Rabe has been involved in Dressage and Eventing for most of her adult life. She is a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist, having earned her scores on her TB gelding Casey Jones. Linda bought Casey when he retired from racing and she trained him through Intermediare 1. Linda also Evented successfully through Preliminary Level. Linda is one of the founding members of the SDDS.

Linda currently teaches at National American University.

SDDS Secretary - Patty Larson

Patty Larson has ridden her entire life, having success in many  disciplines, before concentrating on Eventing and Dressage in the '80s. She rode her homebred gelding, The Magic Man to Area 9 Eventing Horse of the Year at Intermediate Level.

Patty is also part of the team at Rivervale Farm .
